The contract, worth over £3 million, represents another repeat client in ROK and following an intense period of value engineering during the bid process, it is to be constructed using a mixture of innovative precast and in-situ concrete techniques.
The scheme is due to be handed over on time despite challenging weather conditions and is further testament to Cidon's ability to meet program and budget. |

I Quarter, Blonk Street, Sheffield
A £2.5 million concrete frame super and substructure package for a 17 storey mixed use development (for ROK) was initially besieged by delays due to flooding and problems with piling.
After a staggered start the project has maintained pace with a fast track accelerated project and is on course to finish an astonishing 10 weeks ahead of time.
Using a Schwing 30m placing boom and static pump recently purchased by Cidon's plant department. The restricted space and fast progress are being safely accommodated. |

Cudworth + West Green Bypass
Cidon's expertise and capability to undertake the complete package for delivery of the underpasses/bridges on this bypass for VHE Construction was instrumental in securing the contract award.
The awarded scheme involves construction of 4 No. underpasses and No. road bridges on
a complete supply and fix basis inclusive of cranage. |

Another repeat contract for Metnor construction, this complex civil engineering scheme (approx £350k) Involved extensive excavation and RC works to form a new single faced concrete retaining wall adjacent to the main N.E. railway line just outside Newcastle train station.
This project utilized Cidon engineering expertise and ability to devise solutions to complex temporary works and permanent works engineering problems was completed 3 weeks ahead of program. |

Hotel Du Vin, York
Cidon Construction were awarded the contract for the bulk excavation, groundwork's and reinforced concrete works, value circa £350k.
A design and build contract, our proven ability in responding to a fast track program whilst value engineering the project with the main contractor (Metnor) and designer, was again been recognized. Working in close liaison with archaeologists was a key feature of this project. Also Innovative temporary works solution to excavation in difficult ground conditions and the ability to maintain program utilizing our buying department and supply chain to propose and secure materials as design is issued whilst maintaining progress on site. |

Eastbrook Hall
A £3 million 9 storey RC Frame project. Behind a wall of scaffolding in Bradford city centre, a historic building is undergoing a rebirth. Eastbrook Hall, which was built in 1903 in the Little Germany area of the city centre was badly damaged by fire in 1996, is being transformed from its dilapidated state into a combination of shops, offices and apartments.
Cidon Construction are involved in this multi-million pound scheme carrying out the groundwork's, sub-structure and reinforced concrete frame package. |

A £3 million 4 storey RC frame contract awarded to Cidon Construction in February 2006 by P J Carey for the Sir Robert McAlpine Radisson SAS Hotel contract in the centre of historic Durham.
The tender program of 38 weeks was bettered by 8 weeks and financial settlement achieved 4 weeks thereafter. A complex project with a myriad of dropbeams and cantilevers. Once again Cidon demonstrated their capability to complete even the most complex schemes on time and to budget |

History and Culture Centre, Beverley
A 300k contract on the new library in Beverley, East Yorkshire, to carry out RC works to a lift shaft and architectural finish curved stair well, together with 2 No. 800mm thick RC suspended slabs, was carried out in the summer of 2005.Completed on time, again to the highest quality standards.
Our non-confrontational approach to team working delivered results with commercial closure achieved 1 week after contract finished.

A £300k + substructure and externals package for a new accommodation development consisting of 2 no. - 4 storey blocks was awarded in April 2007.

A £400k substructure package for RC works to Nadem Dam, strengthening and improvement works has presented formidable logistical challenges compounded by almost persistent poor weather.
