Cidon Construction have been appointed to the concrete works package for the eight-storey development Manchester. The project, for new client GMI Construction will comprise of 108 apartments is being marketed for private sale, which will transform the site of the former Excelsior Mill printing and book binding works next to the Bridgewater canal.
Cidon’s relationship with developer Mulbury City at Blossom Street and Port Street was fundamental in the decision for this this project award.
Excelsior Works will offer a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Some of the apartments will have balconies, as well as access to a communal roof garden. Basement parking has also been included. The former printing mill had been unoccupied for many years and had to be demolished in 2015 following a partial collapse of the structure. It is one of the last vacant sites on this stretch of the Bridgewater canal to be redeveloped
