Modern Slavery Policy

The following Statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out Cidon Construction Ltd commitment to ensure that our business practices are as resilient as possible to modern slavery and unethical labour practices.

One of the reasons that construction is highlighted as a high-risk industry with regard to the prevalence of modern slavery and unethical labour practices is as a result of the multiple layers of subcontracting. Cidon Construction proactively addresses and manages that risk. Cidon Construction subcontractors are typically either large scale industry leading manufacturers, which have documented and transparent practices and policies with regard to modern slavery and unethical labour practices, or are subcontract labour. With regard to subcontract labour we endeavour to only engage with subcontract labour and subcontract labour agencies with which we have an established history. Should a new labour resource be engaged, then references and testimonials from trusted sources, either from within our existing labour base, or from our clients, partners and colleagues across the construction industry are sought. As an additional control, the decision to appoint new labour agencies is restricted to Director level.
