Project Description

Cidon was appointed by a new, repeatable client to deliver the groundworks and reinforced concrete frame package for Green Street, a major mixed-use urban regeneration scheme in Birmingham.

Located within the city’s creative quarter, the development played a key role in transforming the area through a combination of scale, sustainable design, and essential social infrastructure. The first phase saw the construction of four apartment blocks, including an iconic 30-storey tower, alongside a range of amenities such as co-working spaces, 24/7 gyms, resident lounges, private dining rooms, landscaped public areas, and retail units.

All four buildings were delivered concurrently, ranging in height from 6 to 30 storeys, and provided over 600 new homes arranged around a central podium courtyard. More than 20% of the homes were affordable, making a meaningful contribution to Birmingham’s housing supply.

Each block will feature a reinforced concrete frame, incorporating slipformed stair cores and precast concrete elements to ensure a fast, efficient, and high-quality construction programme, aligned with the project’s sustainability and delivery objectives.
