Project Description

Cidon has been appointed by Caddick to deliver the groundworks and reinforced concrete frame package for Stone Yard, a major mixed-use urban regeneration project in Birmingham.

Stone Yard is set to transform the city’s creative quarter, combining scale, sustainable design, and vital social infrastructure. The first phase of development will see Cidon constructing four apartment blocks—including an iconic 30-storey tower—alongside co-working spaces, 24/7 gyms, lounges, private dining rooms, landscaped public areas, and retail units.

The four buildings will be built concurrently, ranging from 6 to 30 storeys, and together will provide over 600 new homes arranged around a podium courtyard. More than 20% of these homes will be affordable, making a significant contribution to Birmingham’s housing market.

Each block will feature a reinforced concrete frame, with slipformed stair cores and precast elements to ensure a fast, efficient, and high-quality build.
