Upper Brook Street

Plus Ultra Manchester is a major new science and innovation development located within Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor, forming a key part of the wider Upper Brook Street masterplan.

Cidon Construction is delivering the reinforced concrete frame package for Morgan Sindall, including the substructure, reinforced concrete cores and suspended floor slabs.

The development will provide over 217,000 sq. ft of state-of-the-art science and innovation space, designed to support organisations operating across the research, technology and life sciences sectors.

The reinforced concrete structure incorporates five cores, comprising three 8-storey cores and two 5-storey cores. All five cores have been successfully completed, with the team progressing the suspended floor slabs alongside the remaining substructure and reinforced concrete frame works.

The project requires careful coordination across the structural elements to maintain programme while achieving the quality and finish required for this high-specification development.

Located in one of Manchester’s most established research and innovation districts, Plus Ultra Manchester will contribute significant new laboratory and workspace accommodation to the Oxford Road Corridor and the continued regeneration of the Upper Brook Street area.
