Project Description

Cidon were appointed by Code Students to undertake the remediation, enabling and substructure works package for a landmark  co-living  development on Wellington Street, in Sheffield city centre.

The work scope included:

  • Removal of all existing concrete structures in the ground.
  • Bulk muck shift
  • Consolidation works of old mine workings and entries which involved drilling and pumping over 1M litres of grout within the site boundary.
  • Vibration monitoring.
  • Installation of pile mats.
  • Installation of contiguous pile wall and bearing piles.
  • Construction of capping beam, pile caps and  bases including drainage and connections into the main carriageway.
